| The history of Kuapa Kokoo !
Today chocolate is Ghana's second most important export. Until 1993 the farmers got very little money for their cocoa beans. The farmers knew bigger farms would mean more money. So they made one big farm out of their small farms and sold their beans together. The farmers called this farm co-operative 'Kuapa Kokoo'. Until 1997 they decided that they were going to produce and sell their own chocolate bars. The farmes needed help, so they zalked to three British organizations supporting projects in Africa: The Body Shop, Comic Reflief and Twin Tading (a fair trade company). They all became partners and founded the Day Chocolate Company. It launched its first fair trade chocolate bars in the UK. On 1st January 2007 the company changed its name to Divine Chocolate Ltd. Six weeks later offices were opened in the US. They hope they will soon be able to sell chocolate there, too.
Unfortunately, not corrected by my partner !!!

| With you by my side, my dream came true. Each of my friends said we are a perfect couple. I must not have hit the nights around the ears, because in love with the disco lost nothing. You Took me all the hate and all the rage in me. I think it says the fate finally good to me. A human being is you do not, no, that I know of. You must be an angel protected me about you. All your friends have laughed at you. It was no matter to you, you did not mind it. They said it looks weird from a street kid with a girl for a good home, but I do everything good promise for every kiss you have to be ashamed not because of me. I know in the last job I held for 10 days, but you have not seen how much I was ashamed. Please trust me, I'll show it to everyone. Let nothing persuade you, let me stay in your life. Rich & Beautiful? No, I never was. But I was a king in my imagination.

| Hi Sara, your text is really nice) It was interesting for me to know something new)
And know let's clear some moments in your composition =) 1. "...so they zalked to three British organizations...". What did you mean by "ZALK"? 2. "They hope they will soon be able to sell chocolate there, too." You've chosen the wrong tense here - Present Simple. But this action was in past, so you'd better choose Past Simple ("They hoped...they would...").
 Added (29.05.2012, 11:04) ---------------------------------------------
Quote (Fynn) -productivity grows in countries
-global competition and cheap imports help to keep inflation down
-trough globalization countries can specialize more in what they produce and what they do best
-there is a worldwide market for the companies and for the customers there is a better access to products from different countries
-socially we have become more tolerant for people who live in other parts of the world
Fynn, good job) You've gathered together very important possibilities, which globalisation gives us) I'm waiting for your text about FAIRTRADE too)

| Fair trade
International trade is an important and very dynamic area of globalization. The Fair trade marketing gives consumers the option of paying higher prices for imported goods so that developing world producers can have a decent standard of living. Today, the concept of fair trade is considered a form of development cooperation. However, there is still reason to doubt whether such claims are fair trade and fair for producers in developing countries is more advantageous than other retail concepts. And however, considering the global structure of international trade, the result is a marked regional disparity.

| Environmentally friendly cars I think it would be better if cars were driven on the basis of water instead of petrol.
pros: -it wouldn't be so expensive -it would be environmentally friendly -more people would buy cars -people wouldn’t have to go by bus or by Metro and they would save much time cons: -there may be more accidents -more congestions -the petrol station wouldn't earn so much money as before

| What can we do about global warming? In the household we use energy mainly in two forms: heat to electricity for heating homes and "everything else". If we are now saving energy, we do something against global warming and do something for your wallet.
Warming / heating - House / apartment well insulated / thermal insulation, which saves up to 25% of the heating - They have your heating system serviced regularly
Save electricity - Use energy saving lamps, the lighting costs reduced by 70% - Switch off stand-by mode with TV, video recorder, which saves about 10% of electricity costs - Refrigerator: Set to 7-8 ° C refrigerated temperature; rear wall 5 cm from the wall, so that heat can flow - Washing machine: Wash at 40 ° C, older machines (> 10 years) need significantly more electricity and water - When buying new appliances (washing machine, refrigerator, dishwasher), energy-saving equipment purchase - Switch to green power. Green electricity is generated from renewable energy sources (solar, wind, hydro, biomass)
WE Must Start to THINK !!

| about Angelina Jolie:
Filming in about lara croft she first came into contact with humanitarian problems. By the UV refugee camp she got more information. Since then she visits often and regularly refugee camp, for example in Afghanistan and Pakistan. She wants to help many people and wants justice. Because she has so much money, she will donate a million each year for the children in africa. She herself has adopted 3 children from poor countries. I think it's great that Angelina helps the poor children... other stars who have just as much money should rather donate, instead of taking drugs or getting drunk.

| Fairtrade
The Fairtrade Foundation was set up to help to alleviate poverty and to develop sustainable working conditions. It works to help disadvantaged farmers in developing countries to get a fair deal. More than 15.000 children slaves work on cacao farms in West Africa. Does that chocolate still taste good? Fair trade chocolate bars are made from cocoa beans which are bought for a fair price from farmers. In 1980 the logo was first used in Holland. This logo guarantees for: - a guaranteed price for beans - an extra payment to help farmers - good working conditions - support for farmers communities
History
The first three Fairtrade products appeared on shop shelves in 1994 - now more than 4.500 products are licensed to carry the FAIRTRADE Mark, including sugar, grapes, mangoes, avocados, dried fruit, cakes, jams, rice, herbs & spices, wines, beers, ice-cream, flowers, Palestinian olive oil and cosmetics. Fairer future: More than 7 million people in Africa, Asia and Latin America benefit from Fairtrade - farmers, farm workers, and their families. Global appeal: In 1994, the first Fairtrade certified products came from Belize, India and Costa Rica – now Fairtrade products come from 58 developing countries all around the world.
Cocoa farmers
Cocoa farmers are some of the poorest people in the world and many of them earn on average about £50 a year. They depend on selling their beans to pay for the essential things in life. However many farmers don't make enough money from selling their beans and can't afford food, medicine, clean water or school for their children. In 1993, a small group of cocoa framers in Ghana, West Africa realized that by working together they could get more money from the people who bought their cocoa. Set up their own business called Kuapa Kokoo which means "good cocoa farmer" They formed The Day Chocolate Company and started making their own bar - Divine. The markets for Fair Trade products, including chocolate, are small but growing rapidly, and I think we should all do what we can to support them.
Time Line
1528: Chocolate arrives in Europe 17th Century: Chocolate beans were used in Spain as money 1830: the first chocolate bar was made in England 19th century: the farmers in Ghana started to grow chocolate beans 1993: the farmers get more money for the chocolate beans 1998: Divine classic chocolate bar was lunched 1998: the company was founded as the day chocolate company 2007: the company changed its name INTO Divine chocolate
My opinion
I think Fairtrade is very good, because it's very fair to the farmers is that getting farmers more money than before. Children’s did not life longer in slavery the can go to school and learn something, and they need no longer to make the hard work on the field, because every child should have the chance for a good future. In my opinion we should all support Fairtrade, and protect farmers against the exploitation.

| Our technology and the media have developed very well, but, unfortunately, the people are greedy foralmost everything and I pity about that... The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. - I find it very sad and the youth today isno longer want to study at school.

| As you can counteract the artificial greenhouse effect?
- There is only one way to stop global warming or the extra to keep them within bounds: Greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced, especially that of carbon dioxide. The world's CO2 emissions are currently at over 30 billion tons per year and is still rising. The aim of the Kyoto Protocol was adopted at the one that developed countries should reduce their CO2 emissions by 2012 compared with 1990 by 5.2 percent, it is far away. Action is here with the policy and the industry, primarily it is the citizen who decides with his lifestyle and consumer behavior, how much greenhouse gases are produced.
what can be seen: targets are not sufficiently followed up!

| How does globalization affect global warming?
Globalisation is a reason for global warming. Globalisation means a global market. It introduce indegenious products of a country to new global market. The exchange of such hoods including the goods which cause global warming like "CFC's". This in turn promotes the usage of such chemicals. But the advantage is that goods and services which help in preserving our world can also be introduced across he globe. For EG: Non polluting vehicles. This is the same for water pollution.
Since all types goods and services are marketted globalisation promotes the usage of goods that cause global warming and water pollution . Polluing water inturn creates water scarcity. Since the population is growing their needs will increase the production of such items at international level.
Globalisation will also promote the fuels and machines that cause less pollution .
So buyers will be more for such items which will create a competition between industries to produce less polluting goods so that consumers would buy more.

| Causes of child labor That's not enough to feed a family. The parents can go to school the children do not look or in some cases no need for it. In some cultures it is taken for granted that children have to work as a token of their gratitude to feed the family. This tradition, however, can range from small jobs and some help to brutal exploitation. Quite often this means that the children need to bring money home, no matter what.
Often it's about the bare survival. Instead of learning and get a proper education, many children have to work from an early age. Often, it is also about ticking off the debts of their parents. Particularly in South Asia, there are the so-called debt bondage. Employers to their employees to borrow money at usurious rates, and they can not go before it's repaid. Because of the starvation wages hardly a worker has the chance to raise money along with interest payments. The debt will be passed on to the next generation and all family members, including children, are slaves to the entrepreneur.
Many of the children of workers belong to minorities or other oppressed groups in society. Especially girls, are considered in many cultures, less than boys, are at risk. Instead of going to school, they have to work or even prostitution. Especially in Africa, civil wars and cause the spread of AIDS means that many children are orphaned and have to struggle through it alone.
Lack of education Lack of education is due, but also one of the causes of child labor. Child workers are not usually, sometimes for only a few hours to the school. But then they are already often too tired to follow the lessons, suffer from diseases that miss their working hours to connect and be encouraged by anyone to learn. Often prohibit the employer that the children go to school.
Children without education have little chance later to build a good life alone. Employers tend usually a child for hard work but unqualified. This means that they never get a proper education or learn a craft can. There is evidence that former child workers often send their own children back to work, so all generations will remain trapped in this cycle of poverty.
