| The globalisation has a lot of advantages. In contrest to earlier, we can see friends and family on our computer screens and sent messages. We can buy almost all things on the internet. But the globalisation is not good for everyone. Because the internet makes things easier for some criminals.

| I agree with you, Melissa. but I'd like to add that sometimes we spend too much time interacting via the Internet instead of meeting with our dearest and nearest

| This week our task was to write about a young football player named: Emmanuel Adebayor. He is from Togo and was born on 26.02. 1984. His biggest wish was to play football, but his parents were always against it. Nevertheless he didn’t give up and everytime he was going to school he went to play football instead. In January 2006 he joined the club “Arsenal” , when manager Arsene Wenger bought him for seven million pounds, and he moved to Manchester City in August 2009.
Before he came to Europe at the age of 15, he played football in the streets of his native town in Togo, West Africa. His hero was another Arsenal player from Africa, Nwankwo Kanu. Emmanuel Adebayor made friends with other French-speakers. He became very popular. During his first 130 games for Arsenal he scored 58 goals. Emmanuel Adebayor became a good exampel for other African people who wanted to become popular and make their dreams come true. He said, ‘I encourage the people of Africa to believe in oneself, you can be someone if you really want it. I would really like to help African players to realize their dreams to play in Europe football teams’.

| This is a lyric: "How Much Is Enough?" Tell me can the hateful chain be broken? Production and consumption define our hollow lives. Avarice has led us 'cross the ocean, Toward a land that's better, much more bountiful and wide. When will mankind finally come to realize His surfeit has become his demise? How much is enough to kill yourself? That quantity is known today, as we blow ourselves away. Tell me is there anything so sure? Rapacity, tenacity, capacity for more! Like a dog that feeds until he suffers, The infirmity of man is brough on by his selfish cure. When will mankind finally come to realize His surfeit has become his demise? How much is enough to kill yourself? That quantity is known today, as we blow ourselves away.

| Ever since European clubs loosened restrictions on the number of foreign players, the game has become truly global. African players, in particular, have become ubiquitous, supplementing the usual retinue of Brazilians and Argentines. Indeed, the foreign presence in football surpasses anything that we see in other areas of international commerce.
Arsenal, which currently leads the English Premier League, fields 11 starters who typically do not include a single British player. Indeed, all the English players for the four English clubs that recently advanced to the final 8 of the UEFA Champions League would hardly be enough to field a single team.
There is little doubt that foreign players enhance the quality of play in the European club championships. Europe’s football scene would not be half as exciting without strikers such as Cote d’Ivoire’s Didier Drogba (Chelsea) or Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o (Barcelona).

| Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor In the last English lesson we read a text about Emmanuel Adebayor which is a famous footballer. His full name is Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor and he was born on 26th February, 1984 in Lome (Togo). He is 1.93 m tall and he plays as a striker. But let’s take a look to his career:
Career Timeline:
1998–1999 OC Agaza 1999–2001 Metz 2000–2001 Metz B 2001–2003 Metz 2003–2006 Monaco 2006–2009 Arsenal 2009– Manchester City 2011 → Real Madrid (loan) 2011–2 012 → Tottenham Hotspur (loan) He began his career in his homeland Lome, Togo and played for the Sporting Club de Lomé. He forced up to the U-15 level and by a Sweden junior tournament in 1999 he was discovered by a French scout of the FC Metz football club. After a trial, Adebayor joined to the FC Metz club in 1999 and played at the U-17 level for two years. Unfortunately the FC Metz football club relegated to the second football league and so Adebayor joined the Metz B second team. In his first season, he played nine games and scored twice. In the 2002–03 season, Adebayor scored 17 goals in 35 games. He signed up a new contract with Monaco in 2003, and he scored seven goals in 17 games, helping them to reach the 2004 UEFA Champions League Final with two goals in 10 games. On 13th January, 2006, Adebayor signed up a new contract with the football club Arsenal for a transfer fee of € 10 million. On 4th February, 2006, Adebayor made his Arsenal debut in a premiership match at Birmingham City and scored after 21 minutes. At the end the game was won by Arsenal with 2–0. On 18th July, 2009, Adebayor signed a five-year contract with Manchester City and he got a transfer fee of £ 25 million. His career continued and on 25th January, 2011, Adebayor signed a loan deal to play for Real Madrid for the rest of the season. Last but not least on 25th August, 2011, Adebayor signed a one year loan deal to play for Tottenham Hotspur for the 2011/12 season.
His prices up to now: Goal of the Month: September 2007 Goal of the Season: 2007-08 PFA Team of the Year: 2007-08 BBC African Footballer of the Year: 2007 African Player of the Year: 2008 Super Awards African Player of the Year: 2008 Togo Footballer of the Year: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 Now the question, is he a good example for getting a vision? In my opinion Emmanuel Adebayor is one good example on how kids in Africa or Europe can reach a dream. If you take a look to his career you can see that he had a dream and he battled really to achieve his goals. Yes of course, I think he had the right support and sponsors to get the starting point for his career and maybe a little bit luck. But could this happen without having a dream, fighting for the goals and trust in ourselves? I think this is one example how children all over the world can trust their dreams and to fight for the goals. What are your thoughts and concerns? best wishes Meike

| Our new topic in English was about a football player named Emmanuel Adebayor from Togo, Africa. I want to write a short summary about the story, hope you’ll like it!
Emmanuel Adebayor was born on 26.02.1984 in Lomé, Togo. When he was a little boy his parents always told him not to play football, but he didn’t listen to them and continued to play. Now Adebayor is one of the most exciting players in English football. In January 2006 he arrived at Arsenal, his manager Arsène Wenger bought him for seven million pounds. After that, Adebayor moved to Manchester City in August 2009. He played in France for Monaco before joining to Arsenal. At the age of 15, when he arrived in Europe, he joined in Metz, a French football club. As a young boy, Adebayor played football on the streets of his home town in Togo. He felt very good at Arsenal, he made friends with other French-speakers and had a good relationship with his manager. During his 130 games for Arsenal he scored 58 goals, and became very popular. But in one match against Chelsea, Adebayor tried to punch another player, so he had a fine in value of £7,500. There had also been troubles in Adebayors football life. In 2003 he was involved in a serious car crash while he was playing for Monaco. Adebayor still enjoys his life in England, he says everything is amazing there. But he hasn’t forgotten his African background, he often returns to his home town in Lomé and visits schools and talks to young people. He explained to the people in Africa that if you believe in yourself, you can become a great person. Adebayor is working hard for his future, in order to make his life comfortable when he will stop playing. He would like to realize African players’ dreams of playing in Europe, but he thinks, he will never be a couch, this is a very tough job and he wouldn’t want to have that responsibility.

Young people and alcohol.
Alcohol abuse among young people is widespread in many countries. The number of young people who come to hospitals because of alcohol abuse is rising higher and higher. Teenagers between 12 to 25 years drink their first glass of alcohol when they are 14.
Why does a teenager drink?
- You want to experience something -to enjoy a party more -because it's funny -because it will be fun when you're with others - to cheer yourself up when you are in a bad mood - This includes (peer pressure) - Out of boredom - Loads and strict requirements in school or training - Anxiety and inhibitions are reduced, tensions reduced and the confidence will be strengthened. -elevated mood, sociability, and reducing, fears.
Abuse / consequences
-If abused, the mood in Irritability to aggression and violent turn. -Perception, attention, coordination, language and be impaired. -Alcohol may have physical influence and cause psychological dependence. - Damage to internal organs and brain -Delays puberty -Development blocks
Alcohol and Other Drugs
With the additional intake of other drugs, their effect and also the risk of health problems, reinforces the long term. This applies equally at the same time to taking medication
My opinion
I think that too many teenagers drink too much. Many teenagers are in the hospital because of alcohol, or are already dependent on alcohol. I think we should control the law stricter, so that teenagers will not be able to buy alcohol that easy
